Frequently Asked Questions
Therapy
Where do sessions take place?
All sessions are held virtually via a secure platform.
How long does therapy last?
It depends on your goals and the work you put into achieving it. Treatment is a collaborative effort, therefore the decision to end our time to either will be a joint one. We discuss what you have accomplished as well as concrete steps you can continue to leverage to sustain and build on your growth.
What do we talk about?
Our work will be centered around the goals you have set as well as concerns that may come up. Most importantly, this is YOUR time.
Do you give homework?
Yes, therapy is an active process, which requires work in and out of our sessions. The goal is that our discussions translate to a shift in your thinking and doing. Bottom line: change requires practice and patience.
What is your role as my therapist?
My goal is to serve as a safe space where you can come as you are. My role is to help you better understand yourself/relationships, patterns, help you identify and leverage healthy patterns to interrupt unhealthy ones and walk alongside you as you heal and create new ways to navigate life.
Who is a good candidate for therapy and what is your ideal client?
Good candidates are individuals and couples committed to lifelong learning and growing. My ideal clients are individuals at transitional points in their lives looking to heal and provide a healthier tomorrow for themselves, those around them, and those who have yet to come.
What is the cost, do you accept insurance, how do out of network benefits work?
The individual session fee is $200 and the couples fee is $250. I do not accept insurance at this time, however, I advise clients to reach out to their insurance providers, confirm whether they cover out of network services, and if so, how much would be reimbursed. Those seeking reimbursement pay the full fee at the time of session, I provide invoices for your submission to your insurance, and you are reimbursed directly by your insurance provider.
